About Me
Safe Jassani is a multi-faceted musician and music educator, currently pursuing a master's degree and serving as an Associate Instructor in music education at Indiana University. He has shown a deep commitment to music education through roles like assistant conductor and violin coach for the Northern Ohio Youth Orchestra. Safe has also shared his love of music by teaching violin and piano independently and, previously, as a secondary lesson instructor at Oberlin Conservatory.
In 2024, he worked as a substitute teacher in northeast Ohio school systems, gaining experience with a wide range of K-12 students, often directing ensembles. He also played a key role in organizing and hosting a children’s concert at First Church, which reached hundreds of students in the Oberlin area.
Safe has gained significant performance experience as a violinist, performing at prestigious concert venues such as Carnegie Hall, Severance Hall, and the Wiener Musikverein. He has also worked as a cover conductor for the Firelands Symphony Orchestra, conducting them in concert on multiple occasions. Additionally, Safe has extensive experience as a performing pianist and saxophonist.

Safe earned his bachelor's degree in Violin Performance from Oberlin Conservatory, with a concentration in Pedagogy, Advocacy, and Community Engagement. During his time at Oberlin, he studied violin with William van der Sloot, conducting with Raphael Jiménez, and piano with Yulia Fedoseeva.
With his rich educational experiences and musical knowledge, Safe Jassani looks forward to continuing a career as an educator and performer.
